Pregnancy massage focuses on addressing the special needs of expecting women. Specially-designed cushions, and side-lying postures are used to prevent putting pressure on the abdomen.

​MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle tissue manipulation which works to release excess lymph within the spaces of the tissues, encouraging flow and drainage, and resulting in reduced swelling. This is great for post-surgery recovery, post sports injury, or for people who live a sedentary lifestyle. The Vodder Method technique involves stretching and torquing the skin in a specific manner, based on scientific, physiological principles that have been proven to encourage lymph flow. This technique does not involve muscular massage, and will not necessarily involve a full body massage unless requested or warranted. The focus will be on areas affected by lymphatic swelling. A general guideline for choosing the appropriate length of service is as follows: 

One limb - 30 Minutes
Two limbs or an abbreviated full body - 60 Minutes
Full body - 90 Minutes

Unless contraindicated, Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage may be added as a second service to any other massage offering.

ROSE QUARTZ RELAXER

​Smooth Rose Quartz and basalt therapy stones are heated and then lubricated with lotion or essential oils; the therapeutic effects of heat and the weight of the stones are used to relax muscles more deeply. Use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be calming and centering.

CUPPING TREAT

This ancient healing modality offers the benefits of deep tissue release and increased lymphatic flow for reduced pain, increased range of motion, and decreased inflammation.

GUA SHA GOODNESS

Gua Sha (also known as muscle scraping, or coining, or spooning) comes to us from China, and has been giving relief to people for thousands of years. A series of tools is used in conjunction with traditional Swedish massage to scrape across the skin over a specific area's muscles, to release adhesions and tight spots in the muscle. Disclaimer: This treatment may leave red marks (sha) on the skin as the blood is brought to the area of treatment.

THE RESET

This two-hour to two-and-a-half  hour massage experience* was created to support those living with chronic pain or health challenges, who may benefit from a longer session. Each session is customized to the needs of the recipient, and may include therapeutic massage, hot stone, hot bamboo, or cupping techniques. The goal is to return to a state of homeostasis--or, as one client put it, "hit the reset button".

* Treatment time may vary depending on the needs of the client.
